Unleash Rewards Loyalty Program

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Unleash Books & Education Rewards program (the “Rewards program”) is operated by Venezia Trading Company Pty Limited (VTC) ABN 79114886092. Each member of the Rewards program is bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. As a Rewards program member you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as varied by us from time to time, from the time you provide your completed application form.
  3. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions you may cancel your membership at any time.
  4. Applications for membership of the Rewards program are subject to acceptance by Venezia Trading Company (VTC) in its absolute discretion.
  5. Membership of the Rewards program must be requested by you. It is only activated upon receipt by Unleash Books & Education of your personal identification number (your personal phone number) and your completed application form.
  6. Only individuals can apply for Rewards program membership. Corporations, partnerships, trusts and other entities are not eligible to participate in the Unleash Books & Education Rewards program.
  7. A Rewards program member may only activate one Rewards program membership but membership may be held jointly.
  8. You must notify the Unleash Books & Education store of any change of address or phone number.
  9. Employees of Unleash Books & Education are not eligible to participate in the Rewards program.
  10. Members of the Rewards program will earn a $5 Rewards voucher each time their membership account balance reaches a total of $80. Each eligible purchase amount will be recorded in your membership account on a one-for-one basis, ie, if you spend $50 in one transaction your membership account balance will increase by $50. Every time your membership account balance reaches $80 you will earn a Rewards voucher to the value of $5.
  11. Each time your membership account balance reaches $80 and you earn a Reward voucher, the balance of your membership account is reset to zero.
  12. A Rewards program membership number must be provided at the store point of sale to register an eligible purchase and for that purchase amount to be credited to your membership account. VTC may accept or refuse to allocate purchase amounts for a sale retrospectively in its absolute discretion.
  13. Membership account balances cannot be transferred.
  14. The purchase of Unleash Books & Education gift certificates will not constitute an eligible purchase for the purposes of the Rewards program. However, redeeming gift certificates will constitute as an eligible purchase. The purchase of third party gift vouchers or certificates will not constitute an eligible purchase for the purposes of the Rewards program.
  15. Rewards vouchers are redeemable at all Unleash Books & Education stores at an amount equal to the face value of the voucher. Rewards vouchers are redeemable by presenting the voucher at the time of purchase at any participating Unleash Books & Education store.
  16. Rewards vouchers can be redeemed to buy an Unleash Books & Education gift certificate, but are not redeemable for the purchase of any third party gift voucher or certificate.
  17. No change will be given for purchases valued at less than the face value of the Rewards voucher redeemed.
  18. Rewards vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, exchanged, transferred, sold bartered or otherwise dealt with other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  19. Multiple Rewards vouchers can be redeemed when making a single purchase transaction.
  20. Rewards vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date issued.
  21. All refunds of goods purchased by members of the Unleash Rewards program will be treated in accordance with Unleash Books & Education’s refunds and returns policy. In the event of a refund, the purchase amount originally credited to the membership account will be deducted from the member’s account. If the original purchase was made using a Rewards voucher any refund amount will include a Rewards voucher to the same value.
  22. Your membership details are personal information for the purpose of the Privacy Act.
  23. Personal information will only be used for the purpose of the Unleash Rewards program and by VTC for marketing and promotion.
  24. VTC may provide personal information to outside organisations which are contracted by VTC to carry out advisory, administrative or research functions for VTC.
  25. VTC will implement reasonable measures to ensure compliance with its obligations under the Privacy Act in relation to personal information of Unleash Rewards program members.
  26. VTC reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend the Unleash Rewards program in whole or in part at any time in its absolute discretion. This includes changes that have or may have the effect of reducing or eliminating the number or value of benefits received or the period for receiving any benefits. We will attempt to notify members of any changes but, to the extent permitted by law, will not be liable for failure to do so.
  27. Membership of the Unleash Rewards program may be cancelled immediately by VTC if an Unleash Rewards program member is suspected by VTC of shop-lifting or defrauding VTC and the Unleash Rewards program in any way.
  28. VTC may cancel any membership of the Unleash Rewards program at any time in its absolute discretion.
  29. On closure or cancellation of membership of the Unleash Rewards program, or termination of the Unleash Rewards program, for any reason, all accrued membership account balances and Rewards vouchers are forfeited. VTC is not liable for the value of unredeemed forfeited Rewards vouchers.
  30. VTC is not responsible for errors resulting from computer hardware or software errors or failure, or for fraud.
  31. In case of dispute, the decision of VTC shall be final and binding.

Privacy Policy

Unleash Books recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected about our customers. For the purposes of this Privacy Statement, the word customers includes visitors to our web site, subscribers to and users of our services and purchasers of our products. Unleash Books will treat all customer information, including information collected as part of the Rewards Program, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy constitutes part of our Terms and Conditions.

  1. We would like to assure you that we take your information and privacy very seriously.
  2. Information given to us (Unleash) will only be used to enhance your shopping experience with Unleash, resulting in a more personalised service for you. We are fully committed to protecting your privacy.
  3. Any personal information that you submit will be used for our own records and is protected by our secure server.
  4. We are not involved in the selling, trading or alternative unauthorised use of personal information. We promise that we will not pass on your personal details to any other organisations or authorities.
  5. Unleash is not responsible for the content or practices of Web sites operated by third parties that are linked to or from our site. These links are meant for the user’s convenience only. Once you have left our site via such a link, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party site.
  6. Any information posted on bulletin boards and/or communicated in chat areas becomes public information. While Unleash strives to protect and respect your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose in a chat room or bulletin board.
  7. Unleash may, if required, pass on any information relating to suspected fraudulent activity to appropriate authorities.
